Like BB mentioned my services were called upon Tues. morning. When I got the call I thought it just another dry run from my nephew...nope...it was real! I had to get moving really quick and pack my back, get Sonny all settled in with food, water and a clean cage and then head to my nephew's house. Dropped off my things and went to the babysitter and picked up the "Divine Miss M." She was happy to see me and we headed home. As we were driving I got the call from her daddy that baby had arrived.
He entered the world pm Tues. (29th) 3:00 p.m. weighing in at 8 lbs. and is 19 3/4". They've named him Beau Ellis. I'm not sure where Beau came from...it's a name that my nephew has liked for a while. (It was supposed to be spelled the Scandinavian way "Bo" but Nikki compromised on it if it could be spelled Beau). The name Ellis was my paternal grandfather's first name and is my brothers middle name so they've kept it in the family which was really nice. Of course my brother fell apart when he heard that.
When I brought Miss M. to the hospital to meet her new brother she said when she first say him, "he's adorable." She's completely taken with him and can't stop touching him. Daddy is VERY nervous about the whole process and keeps reminding her how fragile he is right now. The "prince" is going to have to toughen up quickly I think!!
Ms. M and I had a really fun time with my "sleepovers"...she was a very good girl for except for a couple of meltdown which were understandable under the circumstances of her whole world being turned upside down. I slept in her big bed with her and she would wake up around 6:45 and put her arms around me and give me a kiss and a hug and tell me she loved me. It just doesn't get much better than that in my world!!!!
Oh...one thing she did (before I close) when I brought her over to my house to change Sonny's water...we pulled in the driveway and she said, "this is where great grandma used to live but she lives in Heaven now." That did it...the tears ran down my cheeks. I had to collect myself quickly so she didn't see me crying and scare her. I thought that was so sweet.
Anyway...I'm home, very very tired and very very happy. Happy happy New Year everyone!!! I love you all
(I attempted to attach a photo but it's timing out and won't let me so I'll email a photo to those of you I have emails for. Pat, I need a current email addy for you. You can send me yours through my profile)

Awww Blu, welcome little Beau to the world. I'm sure the Devine Miss "M" will be a wonderful big sister.
It was so great she remembered Mama Blu.
Welcome to this world, baby Beau Ellis!
Wonder if Ben like the Dukes of Hazzard show?!!
Ellis was the middle name of my favorite Uncle, Blu!
I've taken the liberty of attaching the pix of Beau alone for the ladybugs to see, and will have all four of them in your album shortly!

So glad to get word that the "Prince" is here!
Miss Divine is right, "he's adodrable"!!
I consider myself quite the "name snob" but I actually really like "Beau Ellis".
Congratulations, Mama, Daddy Big sister and Auntie Blu. I knew a baby was expected but didn't realize it was now (l).
Wasn't Bo Ellis a famous basketball player? Good size baby and long enought to turn into a basket ball player.

I'm not sure about the famous basketball player but I know his name was picked with sports in mind. His daddy thought it would be a great name for a sports player whether it be baseball, football or basketball!
I also know there is a famous shoe designer with the name of Bo Ellis! LOL

Blu, I am so happy for you. The little boy is so beautiful and I love his name. I am so spoiled by my DGrS. I hope that you find the same joy in this dear GrNephew. Congratulations to your family.
Hugs,
Melissa
Well, he's stollen my heart, that's for sure!!!
