*** Don't See movies! *** ....a rant...

Have you ever watched a movie and then wished you hadn't?

I watched "No Country for Old Men" tonight. It was terrible! Violence for violence's sake only!

I felt that same way about "Unforgiven" and "Silence of the Lambs". I just see no need to even make a movie like that. I certainly would not have watched any of them had I known in advance what they were really like. That kind of reality I do NOT need to see.

Another show I really did not like was "Beloved". But Oprah talked so highly about it, and it had a great cast, so I went to see it. Not a good show. I did read the book later and it made so much more sense!

Any of you have movies that you really *hated*? Care to join my "don't bother to see it" rant?!!!

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

KT I just can't take any kind of serious movie. I go see movies like the computer animated ones. I need something to make me laugh and go awwww. I cried at the movie "Up" when she died.

Deb the Green Mile was a good movie, but I had trouble watching it too. I had my first anxiety attack while watching that movie.

I like that line in "Nemo", the little star fish says something like, "Finding my happy place"...over and over when it got stress out.

DH had on "Gone Baby Gone" the other night about a little girl who is missing and presumed murdered. Not the most uplifting thing I've ever seen.

I almost walked out of the latest Batman with Heath Ledger. I thought it was way too violent. Everybody else I spoke to loved it. I did love Julie and Julia and I want to see "It's Complicated". One of my favorites was "The Hangover" which has been voted one of the funniest ever made. There are some really, totally, offensive parts, though. Actually, the entire movie was offensive. But, it was also wacky funny!

Our daughter-in-law loaned Benjamin Button which we have yet to watch.

We get stuck on all the Law & Order and CSI shows and we're addicted to Criminal Minds which can be freaky sometimes.

I am very careful what Movie I watch....HATE the Violent ones....and super scary 'slasher' movies....I do like action adventure, sci-fi...comdies..and some drama....I am with you...no point in seeing people shooting/killing just to do it...ick...Hugs, Ruth

I love those good "old" romance movies, Pam.
