I pretty much have the decorations down.  It was a different way to spend New Years, but I'm glad I got the stuff put away.  This weekend is off and then next week back to work.

DH now has my cold.  I'm on the down hill side of it. It was a strange cold.

Not much to say this morning.

I'm de-decorated too, not a sign of Christmas can be seen from where I sit.

Hi BB,

I couldn't resist responding to this one. I respect the need of anyone to get the dedecorating done by Jan 1. Most people have been living with those decorations for over a month and are sick of them. But I have to debunk the "bad luck" attached to the deadline. I feel that my luck has been pretty good most of my life. My family tradition saw the tree go up on Christmas eve my entire childhood. It did not come into the house before the afternoon of Christmas eve. It got decorated after the children went to bed. It was part of the beauty and surprise of Christmas morning. The tree did not come down until twelfth night, Jan 5. As a school-aged child that date was usually after term had started, so we would come home and Christmas had disappeared as magically as it had arrived. I don't believe that there is any bad luck associated with

Hugs,

Melissa
