Here's to 2010! And here's to the beginning of a new year...yea! What's happening in January??? Anything special?

Right now I'm just thinking of my trip to Miami next week to see the Orange Bowl.  After that will be DS's 36th birthday.  Then???hmmm, must be something , but mind is a blurrrr right now...lol

January is a month I try to stay home and indoors as much as possible - sorta like a Bear that hibernates.

Melissa - North Texas

January is just a quiet time for me. Usually too cold to get out much. No special event days. I too use the time to get organized for the rest of the year. Step one needs to be getting a 2010 calendar LOL! Maybe tomorrow...

Blu...from freezing No.IL

I don't think there are any major events planned for January...how nice.

I might start pulling the olllllld wallpaper off the kitchen walls and starting to prepare it for painting. Also need to get the metal storage shelves down to the basement and assembled so I can get the organization going down there.

Other than that...I desperately need to find a JOB!!! If I don't find one soon I'm going to be forced to apply for social security and work retail part time. Something I really really don't want to do. I wanted to hold out on the social security until much later in order to collect a much higher rate but I guess I'll have to do what I have to do.

Jacquie, in mid-IL here.

One birthday - DGrD will be 9 on 1/04. She is now old enough to think cash is just fine, so no shopping in this frigid weather necessary. Back to tutoring 2 afternoons/week starting next week. Must work very hard to meet my 2 mo. goal at Curves.

Need to plan trip to AL & FL to visit DSis & DBro in Feb. It should be early enough that I can get away from the cold for a while, but even driving 40 miles to the airport can be iffy this time of year.
