Good morning everyone. It is still very cold and snowing and they are telling everyone to stay home unless you have to go out. Well, I'm sure not going anywhere.

Yesterday afternoon I counted 11 bright red male cardinals and 6 females sitting in the trees in the backyard and on the feeder. With the snow coming down, they just glowed! So pretty! I do love my birdies! DH made sure the feeder was full before all this hit. Have to keep my little friends happy.

DH is not working today so we will just lay around and take it easy.

When I saw your title I thought someone was bleeding on snow!! LOL I never thought you were talking about the cardinals...LOL I only had 3 "couples" at my feeder yesterday and wanted to try and get a picture of them but they are SO skittish they take off when you get near the window. I just have to sit quietly in the chair and wait for them with my camera ready. I filled my feeders before the storm too and the front one is empty and snowed in now but the back one is still full.

We got another 6" of the fluffy stuff last night. Thank heaven for my wonderful neighbor who out there with his snowblower right now digging me out! He said we've had about 14" in total and now we plunge into the deep freeze again...(sigh).

What a lovely picture, Jackie. I have half a loaf of corn bread that is hard as a rock. I wonder if I just put it on top of the snow mound if it will attract birds.
