I woke up at 5 AM with the same sinus headache, laid around awhile until meds kicked in. Originally planned to go to Curves mid-morning, but was so sleepy I had to take a nap. The place re-opens at 3 PM, was feeling much better, so I headed over. Found one of the afternoon regulars is a woman I haven't seen in 30 years! We were neighbors when our eldest DSs (now 47) were in grade school. She has a younger son the same age as ours (40) and I know all the guys have kept in touch over the years. Her DH died 7 years ago, so she keeps herself busy. She said she hoped we could have lunch and really catch up - and I hope she means it. I intend to call her next week.
BTW - I will resume going mid morning because the trainer there is so good. She knows what parts of my body need extra work and always comes around to remind me to lift this or that body part, sit differently, etc. The other people working there are mostly busy with paperwork.

How cool is that Jacquie! I hope you do manage to get together and do some catching up. I love running into people I haven't seen in a long time.
I'm glad you are liking Curves. I missed going and wish I could go back to it. But I just don't have an opening with the way my work hours are and having to be home to get Grandkids off the bus...sigh..
((hugs))

Jacquie,
I'm a firm believer that we do things for a reason.

I think it's great that the two of you are reconnecting after all these years.
That is awesome Jacquie..how cool to run into each other. I do hope you guys can have lunch and have a really long catch up session. Congrats on keeping up with Curves. I got my monthly weighed/measurement day this morning and I lost half a pound and half an inch....I thought I gained for sure with all the holiday eating I've done...Keep it up.......
I knew there was more than one reason to go to Curves. Even if it is not curves maybe it is a volunteer somewhere you never know you might just run into a person that will be the best of friends..
I wish I could go to Curves, there is one about 20 miles away but that is hard to get to. Years ago some of us used to play volleyball in the school gym. We didn't want to play other towns or anything mostly for most of us it was a fitness thing....we were a lot younger then. Well some of the women that were on the school team when they were in school(and one of them worked at the school) joined and they wanted to play other towns that had what we call a town team...well before to long those 6 women got us kicked out of the gym by saying that we were wearing street shoes on the gym floor.....not true but they had clout and even though we had numbers it didn't matter.. so that ended our playing. Then we finally got a tennis court here.
