That our weather is going to warm up considerably. I'm very tired of the biting cold on my already very dry skin and having to layer my clothes so much. I can take it for a day or two, but this day after day is worst than rainy days.

7day

Funny being excited about temps going up to the 50's. At least we are not dealing with Donna's snow.

Today is the start of my weekend. One of the other ladies in the office is having surgery Wednesday. That WAS suppose to be the begining of my 5 days off, but instead I'm off 2 days, work 5, off 2, work 7, off 3. No I'm not happy about my 5 days being scrapped.

So far, I have been paying bills and playing online. Also, ate a good breakfast and watching a movie.  I have a lot to do around the house. One is tackling my kitchen. I also have to get ready for the Relay for Life kickoff Thursday.  I have a table to decorate. They have to be ready before Thursday.

I hope everyone is looking forward to a great week.

For the cold weather -- and by the way thanks for the encouragement! One of these days I think we'll have more time to spend in the south!

For dry skin, make sure you are drinking enough water. Since you are not used to the cold, you may have cut back and not even realized. Hot tea is fine, too.

just adding onto what Shirley said. Baby oil is good, or some other kind of lotion. My derm told me to get lotion/cream that comes in a jar, not in a bottle. The lotions that have a thin consistency have too much water or alcohol in them and will dry out your skin more. Wear rubber gloves when washing dishes when it's cold, too. Less time in the water will keep your skin in better condition.

Well, it's 26 degrees this morning, and I'm going....over to the Y to take a yoga class...

We surpassed our predicted high today; it got up to 25 instead of 24. At leas6t it was sunny to make it more barable.

Lousy schedule you have; will you get your 5-day weekend soon? Hope you have some nice spring weather when you do.

I've lived in the Tundra all my life and it is finally getting to me. Bundling up and waddling down the street to the corner store is not fun.

Brutal is the perfect word for this winter Ellen. We still have gotten as high as they have predicted.

Here's hoping that it warms up in Florida by then! It was freezing when we were there last week!

I will be in West Palm Beach end of March, and Longboat Key (near Sarasota) end of April. Any where near Cocoa Beach or Naples?
