Perk up your winter face

Makeup gurus say powder blush can be very aging on "mature" skin - it sits on surface and can look obvious. I discovered the Maybelline Dream Mousse blush. My fav for Winter is the Pink Frosting. It has a slight shine and can be layered for a darker color. Cheap way to perk up your look these long days.

This is interesting.
It is light & fluffy, so you can put it on in layers until you get the shade you want.
I have big pores & oily skin and found any powder settles in them and it looks craters on the moon. Have switched liquid foundation to Revlon's Botafirm and like even better than the expensive Lancome I used for years. Guess it's like bra sizes - ya gotta re-evaluate every few years.

I totally agree, Jacquie, I prefer a creme blush too.
I can't seem to get enough color with the Maybelline brand though, so I've switched to
Jacquie,
I'm confused.

They didn't address the issue of what it went over. From what I see on the shelves there is way more powder blush and a lot of liquids. Maybe that combo isn't good. I know a lot of women who brush on blush over whatever is on their skin. I wear liquid foundation, so mousse is perfect for me. Revlon's cream blush is so heavy it goes on my face in streaks, same for the Lancome I used for years.
Again, ya gotta remember that I'm pushing 70 and have seen drastic changes in skin texture & what I can use on it over the last few years. Had to throw out a lot of stuff.

Deb,
Is the Kohl's product part of the American Beauty line? They discontinued the foundation I loved - always got great complements when I wore it.

Here's an old pix - me putting on my DMs powder. Guess I've always been a makeup junkie.

I went to Kohl's today to get replacements for the 2 creme blushes I use from Kohl's only to find they've been discontinued - no creme blush in the line at all...Sooooo, I went to Sephora (because it was close) and bought one to try - I think it is Stila.
I hear your frustration with the product being discontinued. DH doesn't understand why I stock up on things I really like. Revlon made a lipstick I really like and I've resorted to buying it from eBay. Maybe you can find the blush on eBay?
