having trouble with IVillage being super slow??  Thank you for birthday wishes.  It was a very quiet day.  DH had an appointment at the VA hospital.  No problems, just being a Viet Nam vet, thought it would be a good idea to get into the system.  I cooked my own supper, but then again had exactly what I wanted.  DS and little family came by Sat. with flowers, a card, and an Elvis biography/picture book.

It has finally started to warm up a little.  My washer and dryer are in the basement.  It registered 33º last Mon., then it got colder!  I decided one load of laundry was enough last week.  I went down this morning and wouldn't you know, saw a mouse scurrying.  That was it.  DH put the load of wash in the dryer and is out getting traps.  I do not do mice....period.  I "ain't" going down there until they're trapped and gone.

DS will start student teaching the 20th of Jan.  There was almost a major screw-up.  DDIL won a vacation cruise for them the last part of FEB.  Fortunately, it came up at orientation, and he could make arrangements to make up the couple of days he would have missed, otherwise, he would have had to wait another 8 months before he could apply for his teacher's license.  Evidently when they say you're going to student teach...you are going to student teach the exact amount of time you need to graduate.

We'lll have little GS two full days a week and three half days.  It going to be a big committment, but DS talked to me before he started school and he would need our help if he was going to be able to do this.  They can't afford full time daycare right now.  He'll be done the same time DGD is finished for the year.  So no winter getaway this year.  But we're planning a trip out West the minute school is out.

Thank you again for your birthday wishes.  There was a notice a virus was trying to attack our computer, so I turned it off for a couple of days.  Not being all that computer literate, I tend to panic.

Hugs to everyone...........TJ

Hi TJ, no, haven't had a problem "today"....not to say that there hasn't been any, I just haven't noticed.

It's great that you're available to babysit! It's a big committment and I know it'll be truly appreciated.

I did my student teaching in Ft. Lauderdale.
