The reason I want the sewing machine to work is so I can make the grands sleepwear or sun dresses or doll clothes. It'll give me something to do.
I finished a very through provoking book titled 'The Little Book' where this man is transported back in time to Austria. So is his father who is younger than him. The man meets his grandmother as a young lady. The problem is living but not changing history. They even meet Hitler when he is a 10 yr old. The father got transported back when he was dying after being tortured. The son was facing a man who had a gun pointed at him. Neither knew how they got there or how to return. It was very interesting.
Now I'm reading one where this young girl discovered a chemistry lab set up in her house from a former relative. She loves reading about poisons. Then she finds a body in her garden and are mad at the police for chasing her indoors. She is truly an adventurous spirit.
I saw a book mentioned on TV that talks about different presidents called 'Crises in Command. ' It starts with Washington. I've always enjoyed the biographies of the presidents and different stories about them. 'll put this one on my book list.
Have a great day,
K
