The Beat Goes On. . .

Forgive me, but I'm feeling chatty today.

The other night when I had my W2W group for dinner there ended up being 14 of us.  I think it was a fun night and the food turned out good.  But,  that morning the plumbing under the kitchen sink sprang a leak and water kept running out from under the cabinet.
What to do??
I simply pulled some things out from under the sink and placed a stack of dry towels under the leak.  I though I was soooo smart!!  LOL

Also, the fridge doesn't seem to be draining right.
Monday I will call a plumber/repairman to look at both the sink & the fridge.

I'm not complaining but in the lasts 6 months we have had to replace both the Microwave and the Dishwasher.  Guess my kitchen was built to only last so many years, as it is falling apart all at once.

Still, "The Beat Goes On".
Remember that old Sonny & Cher song?

So I should be happy with my 52 year old oven that is still working? I pray to it and baby it and tell it I love it all the time! LOL

Good luck w/ the plumber. Maybe you'll get one that looks like Katie and Shari's cable guys!! How was Shari's cable guy anyway??

Oh Dannie...that doesn't sound good at all. Anything involving pipes and plumbing behind a wall...oh no. Good luck kiddo!! I don't envy you one bit!

I do believe that all appliances that are bought at the same time try to die at the same time too, so it is not too shocking that you've had several go recently!

My home was build in the early 50's, Dannie, so I know just about what you are dealing with!

Years ago we (my X and I) had to dig up the waste line that goes out to the street and cement the joints in it so the tree roots could no longer clog it up. Both he and my DS have roto-rooted the lines under the house that go out to the sewer line several times.

As our DS said recently, he thinks there's a mother ship (aka computer chip) that tells the appliances & cars when "it's time to come home". Like us, they seem to have a limited shelf life without some medical intervention. Good luck to all here who have to go through this aggravation. Having to shop for appliances with DH is a major pain. Right now I'd like to replace our cooktop because the porcelain is chipping. DH liked stainless, until I showed him the scratches and fingerprints on the floor models. Guess I'll live with the chips.
