i am no longer considered a diabetic. they did an a1c and it was 6.1 which is low. she said it averages to my blood sugar being about 95 each day. i told her that when i take it it ranges from 91 - 102, she wanted me between 90 and 110. the highest it had been since i last saw her was 112.
i also told her that i had not taken the med. in two months. she said well, you are not a diabetic then. well hallelujah!!!! somebody finally listened to me. so, no more testing and no more pills.
i also told her about the possibility of the baby coming to live with us. she said it would be no problem for her to see him or her. so that is a load off my mind.
have a great day

Great news! Keep up the great work. Hope your weather isn't to bad. We are leaving tonight for Allie audition at UT. Keep her in your thoughts
first of all welcome to the board, i don't think i have talked to you before.
my diabetes was steroid induced. i had a terminal lung disease and God healed me. so, i no longer needed the steroids. when i came off them and lost a bunch of weight my blood sugar returned to normal. it's just taken me about six months to convince the doctor.
i was on metformin twice a day and my a1c was never 6.1. now that i stopped taking the med, it's reached that low and i am thrilled.
now i just have to convince the cardiologist that my blood pressure was high because of the steroids and i don't need to be on that med anymore. lol
Great news Lil' Sis!!! I'm very happy for you.
And the wonder of God's miracle in your life just continues to grow, Ellen!! Four years ago we were all scared you'd not live to make it to the next BugFest and here you are so much better now!!! Heaven be praised!!
