The weatherman was so wrong!

Good morning, Ladybugs. The weather "people" predicted that we'd get just a dusting or no more than a few inches of snow...WRONG!!! We got almost a foot!!! It is beautiful, I must admit. They are saying to stay off the roads....I know, we're whimps...DH is outside right now digging a pathway to and from our house. Hmmm, do you think we'll get any visitors? Ha
Yes, church has been cancelled. It was to be our last Sunday in our old church(the basement of a subshop) since our new church is ready to move into! Yea! One little sidetrack, we haven't gotten our certificate of occupancy from the county...we just might be meeting at my house next week. LOL
Soooo, we're snowed in but I have lots to do. DH has some nice desks at his old office that he is disposing of, and I "volunteered" to take one off his hands. It's much nicer than the one I have...so that means everything comes out of the old desk....I hope to declutter as I go along.....toss, toss, toss!!!
I hope you have a nice day!!

Wow, Shari!
Good morning Shari,
Sounds like your weathermen are about as good as ours, except in the opposite direction. Ours keep warning us that we are going to get snow but it doesn't materialize. We have had snow four times since the middle of November, never more than three inches at a time and it has been gone by the next day. Our temperatures have been running at least ten degrees higher than the normal and we are getting rain instead. Today is foggy and drizzly. I almost wish we had a foot of snow so that it wouldn't be so gloomy.
It is such a change from last year's record snowfall that prompted closure of the university for three different days. It seems that Mother Nature has forgotten our little corner up here - Washington, Idaho and Oregon - and is focusing her fury on the rest of the country.
We have had two stretches of 4-5 days when the temperatures were in the teens with lows close to zero and windy. With no snow cover and the temperature changing so drastically, they are worried about the crops and the rest of our plants.
Enjoy the winter beauty and stay safe.
Ellen
LOL...I love it when a "dusting" turns out to be a foot of snow! How can they be SO wrong??? My head predicts weather better than all their dials and gadgets! LOL You're right...it is pretty though. I'd actually rather have the foot of snow than the gloomy rainy drizzly days on end. We're on our 4th day in a row with sun and people are going crazy. It feels like spring. Ha!!!
WOW!
A foot of snow is BIG!!
We woke up to sunshine; it is still cold but hit 50 by 4 o'clock.
Sad your church had to cancel on the "last" day, but next week will be great fun - if you get the permit.
