Good morning. I thought I'd share with you the pictures I took of Curt's "arrangement". I don't know what else to call it, so there it is. The facinating thing is how it all came about. Carl went down to Waco a week ago and brought back Curt's recliner I'd bought him, along with a few odds and ends and his ashes. Joedy had put the ashes in a tin container that had a lighthouse on it, since Curt loved the ocean and lighthouses. That was fine for transport, but I had something different in mind, just didn't know what. Anyway, my Curves gals that I have brunch with every week gave me a gift certificate to Parables (a Christian bookstore here) to buy something in Curt's honor. So, I finally went down there and found this picture of the ocean with a lighthouse in the distance and the sun is just coming up on the horizon. The other special thing is that Curt's favorite book of the Bible was Psalms and it has a verse at the bottom of this picture: Psalm 43:3..."Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me." So, I had the picture, then went to find a box.
If you have ever been in a Hobby Lobby, you'll know that they very seldom have empty shelves. Well, on this empty shelf sat a leather box that had the same color of the frame of the picture, and it had a place for a photgraph in the top. It's very manly looking with the stitching and everything. The picture I chose was the last one taken of Curt before his lung collapsed and he got really sick. The blues in that photo are the same as the picture. I've had my Mother and Son figurine for years, since I'm the mother of sons, so the whole thing just kind of came together. I sit in Curt's recliner in the evening and see that arrangement and it brings me such peace. Anyway, here it is for those who've asked to see it. Love you guys!

(((Pam))) it's just beautiful.
That.
Is.
Beautiful.
That is a wonderful way to honor Curt and keep his life before you.
That is a beautiful tribute you have arranged for Curt. I hope it brings you all the happy memories.
I would keep the tin for Curt handy just in case Joey should visit. Even if it is empty, he will be proud you kept it.
