As I said scary Monday and it was hairy for a bit to. My D/H was laying down and I was studying in the living room. All of the sudden we both heard this nose like someone had sped down our road and put their car brakes on to stopped and they were sliding. We both jumped up and that is exactly what had happen. But it wasn't any old car but a deputy sheriffs car. We live right at the end of a dead end street and if he hadn't stopped it he would have landed in a big deep ditch filled with water. Any how he then pulled into our driveway and was looking into our back yard. My D/H thought about going out and asking him if there were a problem. But then we heard dogs howling and they had their tracking dogs out. D/H ask me to make sure the doors were lock which they were. I always locked them even if he's at home inside with me. Any how we heard a helicopter and it belong to the police and it was hovering over top our house. We have a scanner and my D/H turned it one and the copter cop was talking to the other police men saying he was behind out shed and then he took off. Everything got quiet and every one disappeared. We didn't find out until the next night that the man behind our shed was one of 4 men who were pulling a home invasion robbery one street behind us in one of the homes that cost over a million dollars. They caught all four and are now looking for a 5th man who helped them get rid of the stolen property. One in custody they were all found to be illegals aliens and they confessed to this robbery. One of the sheriffs patrolling the area saw the truck they had been searching for in other robberies and of course that truck was at this house. They have been trying to apprehend this bunch for several months and they confessed to over 600 other robberies. I started laughing after all was said and done with. My husband asked me why I was laughing. I told him well those houses behind us cost over 1 million dollars but I know our home isn't anything like that but having those tarps up our roof might have helped to deterred this guys from hitting our house. What is worse is knowing they had pulled up in our driveway to turn around before they went to rob that place. I was outside in the yard with our furry kids. Now that gave me the creeps for sure. YUCK!!! Just another day in our quiet neighborhood.......ellie-mite

Wow, Ellie. That is scary. Glad everyone is okay. At least, life isn't dull at your house.--Pat
