Shelves, wipers, umbrellas...

Wednesday when I went to my VD meeting I left home a bit early.  Had to go by Dr. J's office to get my B/P checked and wanted to do a bit of shopping. I ended up at WallyWorld and while wandering in the store I found a shelf unit that I'm going to get for my office.  My DS and I had been going to hang some wooden shelving on the one wall, but what I found is a wire frame (72" tall, 48" wide, and 16" deep) black matte finish and sturdy. It is a free standing unit so I'll be able to move it if I ever want to.  It is very much like  this one, but not quite the same. The store had only the display model in stock Wednesday but were supposed to get some more in by tomorrow.  I'll go get one of them if they did get any in!  Then I'll need to get some storage boxes of some kind!!

Then Thursday I had to take my car in for it's one year transmission maintenance.  While I was out I stopped by the vet clinic to drop off a big bag of newspaper pellet kitty litter that I bought when I had Miss Molly declawed and did not need. Figured they could  use it.  Left there and went to JoAnn's for some felt that I need for another TOPS project.  Then went to get the oil changed in my car and had her bathed too!  While I was there I had them install some new wiper blades for me as mine were driving me crazy!   If you find you are in need of new wiper blades for your car I *highly* suggest you spend the extra bucks to get the "RainX Latitude" blades.  My, what a difference!!  It has been a long time since I found a pair of any other kind that didn't stutter when the window isn't *really* wet and that did not leave streaks behind.  Not these puppies!!! They cost me $20 per blade but I have a $10 per blade rebate coming!

The next time you are about to head out for the day and find yourself wondering, "Do I need my umbrella today?"   Check out  this Web site!

I love all things free standing, since we move a lot!

While lots of us hibernate during the cold of February you've been on the ball getting all sorts of things done.

I have a shelving unit similar to that in my kitchen - basically my open-air pantry. I love being able to see and get to all my canned and boxed foods so easily, and it also has room to store some cookware. Definitely beats rummaging around in the cabinets.

Good luck with your storage/cleaning efforts, bet you'll be really happy with the results. :)

Katie, those are almost exactly like the storage shelves I recently purchased at Target that I couldn't get to the basement because were SO heavy. My h.s. friend stopped over one day and I put him work. Now they're down there and waiting for me to assemble. I like that you can put so much weight on them w/o worry. I got them on sale at Target...a good deal.

As soon as winter is done with it's fury I'm going to get new wiper blade. Winter is very cruel to them with frozen windshields and all. It just rips them apart.

Goodness, you've been one busy lady.
