I am sorry I have not been around lately. I have missed all the happenings here on the board for several days now and that makes me feel sad. I left Thurs to work at the nursing home and then headed down to consult in the south east part of the state on Friday. I spent the weekend on the farm with my mom. I'll be doing that monthly. It will not be too hard of a job but during the winter has been a real chore. The roads were awful going down and coming back. A 4 1/2 hr drive became a 5 1/2 down and 7 hour coming back. But at least I made it back in one piece!
Schools started two hours late this AM because of the weather and now they are cancelling them. Wind chills are about -40 and actual temp is a balmy -9. LOL I see the East got hammered pretty good this weekend with snow also. What a WINTER!
I'm at the shop today and that is good.
I do not have internet other than on my cell phone when I'm at the farm. I'm seeing about somehow attaching my cell phone to my laptop. I think I have a program to down load and it should be good to go. But first I have to find the time to do it.
My folks are both stable. I guess that is good!
I have not had a chance to read all what has been happening here. I welcome any new gals.
It's FEB and soon March will be here....Then we can think spring! LOL

Oh my Donna,
I know you are VERY busy and having to deal with such bad weather
s-l-o-w-s everything and makes everything more difficult.
I have flannel bottoms with polar bears and a long top with long sleeves...flannel...toasty.
Thanks for thinking of me Pam.
Donna, you are such an inspiration. You just keep going in the awful cold and weather. I really don't know how you do it. We have freezing precip
Hugs,
Melissa
Donna sorry you haven't been here too. You are truly missed when you are gone. Glad Mom and Dad are stable. I hope you don't as hard a time making that trip the next time. That has to be harrowing driving under those conditions.
Take it easy at the the shop. Hope you find some "me" time in there somewhere.
(((hugs))
............
At least you can worry a little less about the folks......I swear this summer we have got to meet I am sure we will have to go to Cabala's at least once this summer. LOL.....the guy that Del fishes with got him hooked on the store and now he wants to just run up and see what new there....lol.... I too am crossing off the days of Feb. in hopes that March will soon be here. Even if we have a blizzard in March the next day it could be 50º..
We had snow and wind just pop up this afternoon....so tired of it....lol
Retired and lovin'it.
I know I have told this before but this year we have a comforter on our bed....the first one we have ever had.....well we had one probably 30 years ago and it was one of those that was on the floor more than the bed and I got up one night and tripped over it and it was in the burn barrel the next morning.....
The ones now are not that slippery stuff...
I turn down the furnace to about 58, get into bed so cold, cover and about a half hour later my arms are out then a leg then I toss the comforter back them put it back on.......I don't sleep well at night...lol
But Del, I will never figure how he ever goes outside in this weather because....he has his tshirt on and then he puts on sweat bottoms and some socks. Plus the comforter....I don't understand.
I got the hick ups tonight for some reason and sometimes I get them and they are really deep, I will sound like someone is running the car into the house or something.....lol
Retired and lovin'it.
BOO!
