Snow is here now....again!

Well, the snow has begun here in lower Michigan again now. It was snowing when I got up this morning and still is. I have not been out to measure the depth of the stuff - not sure I want to know! After our TOPS meeting this morning I went to Meijer for a few groceries and then came home. I think I may hibernate for a few days. This snow is supposed to continue falling through tomorrow night. If that is the case I rather doubt I'll try to make the VD meeting tomorrow. Just a bit too far to drive in really crappy weather. I've done it before, but I just don't think I will this time.

Yesterday I went running errands. Went out to one of our malls and returned a wallet I had bought, bought some socks for myself, went to an Office Max and got some stuff for my TOPS group projects. Then I went to Menard's and found several items I had needed for a while - a bulb for my lamp light, a couple spot light bulbs for my flag light, some washers so my DS can fix the minor leak in my kitchen faucet before it becomes a major one like Deb had, and a set of white shelves almost just like the black ones I had seen a week ago but had not been able to get. I haven't put the shelves together yet, but I will soon! Now all I need to find is some boxes to use on the shelves to keep all my "stuff" in!

I just broke down and checked the depth of this white stuff outside my back door - not quite 6 inches! At this rate we'll end up with better than of foot of it. Sure hope my snowplow fairy comes by again!!! LOL

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

DH's buddy from Detroit area only stayed 24 hours. He arrived here Sunday mid-day, took a look at the forecast for mid-IL in to MI and decided to leave mid Monday. So glad he outran the storm & got home very late, but safe. I did chide him about the wisdom of making this trip in Feb, because both states are known for storms.

Loved your Menards trip story - that's one of the favs for DH & I. But - we always wind picking up more than we intended. We've learned to cruise all the aisles, just in case we find something cool. One time we found door knobs/handle sets on sale, picked them up. They looked too good to go on our old doors, and it led to new doors eventually - LOL. The best bargain so far was a big credenza to hold the 42" TV - for $169. It's the fake wood, came in a box & weighed a ton. But, the 2 glass doors with shelves inside, plus center section with 2 shelves for components, it serves us really well. I bought lined wicker baskets to go in the door compartments to hold cables, game controllers, etc. We've gotten lots of compliments, but never let on where we got it. You might look into these lined baskets - I found really cheap ones at the $$ store.

Best to stay in,look at the white stuff & wait for that fairy to show up.

I think you're one wise Ladybug to have run your errands so you can now hibernate for a few days till things calm down a bit.
