Another bad morning with DGD......

Yesterday I didn't go over as  DDIL's early meeting was cancelled because of the weather and DGD's bus ran two hours late.  This morning and tomorrow I'm needed early.  The problem mostly is her hair.  She's never liked it brushed or combed, but this has turned into a real battle.  I talked to her mother this morning and said I just couldn't do it anymore.  If she went to school with her hair uncombed or brushed, so be it.  I was so upset I actually cried a little on the way home.  She's been my special little girl and to be angry with each other is too much for me.

DGS can be just as exasperating.  He's at the age where everything has to be just so.  This morning he decided he wanted a waffle sandwich.  Not a bad idea if he didn't want another waffle as the filling!  Then his shoes had to go on in a certain way.  Then getting him to preschool at the right time.  Arghhhhggg.  If it hadn't been 9 AM I swear I would have come home and had a stiff drink.

DH made homemade vegie soup yesterday.  I think he felt a little guilty about last week.  It was yummy, sent some home with DDIL.

They're starting to realize how more complicated their lives are going to be once DS finds full time work.  I think this student teaching for four months will give them a serious reality check on the future, kids, work, social life and the dear little doggie that has to be taken care of and definitely makes everything more complicated yet.  She's a cute little thing, but arrangements have to be made for DDIL to either take her to work or come home to let her out during the day.

Sorry I seem to be complaining so much.  It' hard to make such a change in my daily life.  First DH is home most of the day, though he's fallen into a comfortable routine for him, then DGS.  I love everyone, but........well just but......................Hugs to everyone and if you have one to spare send it my way along with patience and strength to hold on..........TJ

Funny thing I can remember having the same "scene" with my Grandmother when I was 5 & 6 yrs old.

TJ I am so feeling your pain! Being so involved with our grandkids daily lives can be exasperating. Mine is the crimp in my afternoons. No more naps and taking it easy until dh gets home from work.

What is it with little girls and their hair? My great niece is going through the same thing right now too. I go to brush her hair and she bolts like deer and starts screaming like I'm killing her! I know I'm not hurting her. Geeeeeeeez

A waffle sandwich with waffle filling? Hmmmm....sounds good to me! Put it on a stick, pour some syrup on it and call it a meal! LOL

It sounds like total frustration up there right now. Hugs coming your way TJ.
