Dear heavens!!! I can't believe what they are making them do for their first challenge!!! One gal got a dislocated shoulder and one guy broke his toe!!! It was viscous and downright nuts!!! These are all former contestants/winners, etc. Crazy people I call them.
I think I watched one show on the first season and it grossed me out never went back....lol
Then a couple years ago I read an article about when the heat gets to bad they get sit in an air conditioned Hummer and I thought that for reality you can't get more real than that.....lol.
I like Rupert too Katie...seems like a good guy. Glad Sugar is gone too. I actually missed the 2nd hour 'cause I switched over to Gray's Anatomy. I was just surprised at that first competition and at how rough it was and how far they let it go...to the point of major injuries. Just didn't seem right to me.
I didn't think I was going to like the "all star" show but I think it's going to be good. Glad I've got a fellow watcher!! LOL
I think you might be referring to some of the crew members Janet. I saw the host, Jeff Probst, interviewed within the last 6 months on some talk show and some very pointed questions were asked to him about the show...especially about where they stay and the conditions. He said that the people playing the game, the competitors, definitely stay in those camps and eat the rice, fish they catch, etc. They do not have access to any luxuries for the 40 days of competition. But...depending on the location, the crew might have accommodations...such as a hotel. But there have been times when the location was very primitive and the crew was in tents or small cabins without any luxury either. They do have medics standing by for any accidents that might happen (and that have happened) and a helicopter so they can get people out if need be.
Oooh! Sorry I missed it! I was looking forward to watching it and chatting with friends online. I didn't get home until after 9pm and was exhausted. Hopefully, I'll catch it again next week.
