Olympics - mogul skiing...

Are anyone else's knees in extreme pain after watching these kids ski a mogul run? Holy cow!

Funny story...as a relatively new skier in my mid-40's (maybe skiing for 2 years) I ended up on a mogul run quite by accident. There was no other way down but to ski down. I was in complete panic mode trying to pick my way through those nasty bumps...trying to find a straight line to the bottom. These kids in the Olympics fly down these mogul hills in 23 seconds...I FINALLY made it down that hill in 45 MINUTES!!!! I made sure to pick my runs more carefully after that little incident. And oh...I don't ski anymore either.

My knees are in so much pain anyway and watching that I am thinking she is what? 20 something years old....I want to see that girl when she is 60 to see if she can still stand up....lol

Then while watching and trying to get by the knees, and half thinking about the top half of her body, I thought her stomach has to be as hard as cement don't it? When she get pregnant she better have a strong kid so they can push that thing out to make room in there.lol...I am just glad that I am on this side of the mountain.....altho the temps would be nice here ....lol......

The gold medal winner is Hannah Kearney of VERMONT!!!!!!!

I think our entire state is bursting our buttons. We're so proud of her.

Your state should be proud............you did all of us proud. I, especially, liked her interview. She came to WIN. Her eyes held the fight and determination in them to be top Olympian. Speed skater Ono has that fire too. His interview was funny when he mentioned being noticed as the dancer guy and he responded with have you ever seen speed skating? Later. Just, Judy

What I would like to know is, Hannah's last name is the same as a town in Nebraska and the weather channel people said it just the way it was supposed to be but when they tall about our town they pronounce it Kerney..

When the US isn't in the running for a medal in the Olympics then I hope for Canada...LOL....

I've been hoping Canada would win gold and they did! There is so much pressure on those athletes to win gold! I don't know how you can "do the job" with that much pressure.

Last night, I was cheering on the Chinese in the pairs figure skating. THEY WON! They made some mistakes (who didn't?) but I love the way they skate together. So much passion. As Dick Button said, they skate as one. I loves the second place Chinese couple, too.

God gave me two feet that fit into snowboots if there's snow outside.

HOW DO THEY DO IT??

It looks as though they would blow their knees out.
Perhaps they've had springs inserted in place of knee caps.

One of the commentators was talking about the number of knee surgeries that so many of the Olympians have already had====and they are just in the their 20s!!! Yes, I hate to think of
