Like the Olympians we are off and running today -
Princess is out of school and has a Dentist appt...then I am scheduled for a Mammagram, (Fun!!?)...then we're bound for the Grocery Store to buy Groceries, home for Dinner, then Princess has a Photography Class in the evening.
Whew!  At that point I plan to be in my "nest" watching the Olympics!!

Will be back later to catch up with everyone in the Garden.
Hope it's a Good Day for everyone!!

We were supposed to go to O'Neill this morning for a fasting 8 am appointment to get blood drawn. We have to do that every year so they will ok our scripts again...I hate having to pay for an appointment for that so we had about 30 questions plus I was going to set up my Mamo and see if it would be digital or regular... But, the road conditions were really bad last night so I didn't sleep till after 4. Del woke me at 6:30 to tell me to check things out to see if we would even go this morning,,,,the wind was still howling. Sh he called up to the police dispatcher and she said that she didn't know what the roads were like cause she stayed in O'Neill last night....but from the officers that came in this morning that if we didn't have to get out there (which would be before it got really light outside) to go back to bed.......so we did.....at 8:30 I got up and had to call and set up another appointment...they said that they had a lot of time today because of the weather..I said I wasn't going out so now we go up Friday.....lol

A Friend that came from that way this morning said that the ground blizzard was awful but he did get up to about 50MPH a couple times. I am thinking about ground blizzards in the dark....I was so glad we stayed put this morning..

Do you think the Olympics have been different this year? I know with the death of that young man and the weather....but even

OK so i said i never post during the week - and here i am again lol.

Had to go in this morning for a D&C, which i was totally dreading but it wasn't bad. Except for being a little 'off balance' from the anesthesia, I feel fine - who knew? Getting the IV in actually hurt worse than anything else, and i'm going to have a heck of a bruise on that hand. But the very nice anesthesiologists (sp?) gave me something in the IV to keep me from puking up my toenails, which I always do, and it worked Great!

As for dinner and groceries... SO will not want me to cook, he wants me to relax :) but I also have a pound of ground meat and am thinking of baked spaghetti and salad, and lemon turnovers for dessert. (He says I absolutely can never quit work because he would weigh a ton if I was at home all the time cooking lol)

We got a couple of inches of (unpredicted) snow yesterday evening. It was SO pretty but gone before noon. I guess that's the 'good' kind of snow! :)

Glad things went OK with the D&C.
Hate having an IV - they ALWAYS hurt!
If you're even thinking about cooking you must be feeling OK.
I say let your SO cook/or bring food for you and enjoy some R&R - you deserve it after what you've been through today!

We live right off Dodge street and it was closed off for most of the day yesterday all the way to Elkhorn because of the ground blizzard and black ice.

Yuck, the weather (and the roads!) sounds very nasty up there.
