OLYMPIC BOUQUETS

OK. So has anybody else noticed how butt ugly the medal winner's bouquets are??? I checked on the internet to see what flowers they contain. Someone said they looked like a broccoli bouquet!

They're made up of hypericum berries, green spider mums, leatherleaf fern, monkey grass and aspidistra leaves. Did anyone even bother to take a picture to see how they'd look on TV? Ugly, ugly, ugly!!!

I checked out the Chinese bouquets which were beautiful deep pink/red roses. Gorgeous!

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

I agree...I think they're really ugly too. Why in the heck do they have to give flowers anyway. Don't the guys look silly holding those bouquets? I read something on the internet about the choice of flowers...they did pick them specifically for some significance to the Pac Northwest...whatever...ugly is ugly.

Oh! I noticed all the skaters were holding stuffed animals. Now, to me that's a waste of money. I'm sure they go in the garbage as soon as the skaters leave the rink.

I read once, a while ago, that the stuffed animals go to kids in the pediatric units in local hospitals. Don't know if that's true or not, but I know the question has been asked of the skaters before and that was the answer they gave. If so, that's nice.

Yes, the would be nice! How neat for the kids that the animals were held by an Olympic athlete?
