The snow, that is. Thanks a bunch to you ladybugs west of me for sending it my way!
It began falling right around 9:00 last evening and is still falling! I just went and looked and it measures right around 6 inches of new stuff. We had had some warm temps the past couple of days (around the upper 30s and lower 40s) so most of the old stuff had melted off hard surfaces (like driveways & roads & roof tops).
I am hoping my snowplow fairy will come by some time today again! I may go out with my blower later today though, as I hate to drive on the stuff in my driveway and pack it down! That makes for an icy driveway later on.
I got my DVD / VHS recorder/player back from the GEEK Squad last Wednesday. Went and picked it up after my VD meeting. Now when the 'new season' of shows begins I can start recording again.
It seems that we (VD committee) did get our applications for parks use in early enough to avoid the fees they were talking about charging us. I need remember to ask our chairperson what the outcome of that City Council vote was in regards to those suggested fees. TPTB just seem to delight in messing with all of the various 'events' that folks try to do to bring business to the town! All except for the sporting events, that is!

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

yuck! Our snow forecast has been dropped...now they are saying Rain. Haven't seen any yet, though...
They ARE mentioning snow in the forecast for later in the week, though.
If it makes you feel any better, my friend, Karen, just got back from Cancun and she said it was too cold to go in the water...Cold everywhere???
She must have meant that the water was too cold to swim in!
Oh good, I've been looking for an update about the park rental fees -- so glad you got the paperwork in before anything changed.
Katie, it sounds like you got your recording devices back just in time.
I do not envy you the snow no matter how many fairies are helping you.
Take care,
K
Hey...I'm not going to suffer through this winter alone you know!!! So happy to share the snow...LOL We didn't get the expected 10"...only about 6" of heavy wet snow. My snow fairy showed up around 10:00 this morning and dug me out. Mother Nature just doesn't want us to see the bare ground this winter. My little crocus plants are still growing their little hearts out...tough little critters!!!
Well Katie,
Don't trade your warm socks in for Flip Flops quite yet.
It's 19 here right now.
My snowplow fairy did come clean my drive for me! Hooray!!!
Well, I guess you do have to send that white crap somewhere!!!
