Over two feet of snow in Vermont

We've got over two feet of snow and there's no sign of stopping! The ski resorts are rejoicing! Our trees look like someone sprayed them with shaving cream. Just beautiful. As the snow rolls off the roof, it piles up and it's more than half way up the screen door on the back door now. DH has been out a couple of times to shovel and clear off the bird feeders. Those little birdies have been so hungry today. We usually have between 8 and 20 wild turkeys in our yard but they didn't come out today. They must be roosting in the trees. It's all so beautiful to look at but I'm glad I don't have to drive in it!! Gail

Gail,

I envy you the beauty but not the driving.

That's a lot of snow! We live close to the beach and hardly ever get snow---except for this year! We've had 3 big snowfalls and are expecting another one tonight! What the heck is going on...?? LOL

Gail you paint a pretty picture, but glad it you and not me. Funny when we got our snow it had more on the trees than on the grounds. I hope you keep your power and you don't have to drive in that at all.

We don't ski. I was going to when I was in middle school. But, one of my science teachers chaperoned a school ski trip and fell and broke BOTH of her legs! My father would never allow me to go after that. Of course, he also took away my ice skates when a classmate drowned. What I'm doing living in Vermont....who knows?? But, I just love it!

It's still snowing! We have way more than two feet, now. Our entire road has no electricity. Luckily, we installed a really big generator so we've got lights, fridge and hot water.

Isn't it strange how - even those of us who are crying "enuf" - can appreciate the beauty of freshly fallen snow?!
