Like I had mentioned in my other post, my neck has been hurting so bad. I've taken Alleve and put heat on it. I just can't get any relief. Well, dh keeps grabbing me and trying to massage it. Now dh's massages are VERY rough! It's really painful when he hits those muscles. So I keep telling him to QUIT! But he keeps insisting it's "got to hurt to feel better".  I'm so glad he finally went to work. I think I'm going to have to take a nice, hot bath and soak it. Grrrrrr.....men!

I hope everyone is having a good week. Today is my last day off. DD should be getting out of the hospital today. I have some goodies for her and the baby.

Darn!
I really thought you'd see improvement in your neck by this morning.

I call my DH "Harley hands". Whenever he tries to rub or massage I wind up with bruises. He thinks he's got his mitts on the handlebars - LOL.

Whoever it was that touted that old mantra about it must hurt to get better should be shot!

I totally agree with you Katie. I wish I could get one every week...I know I would feel much better. My neck, back and shoulders are in constant pain.

Shirley Sue, I know a massage would really help you.

I've had same thing you have many times, SS, but I don't think I've ever had one (a "crick") that lasted as long as yours has.

BB, a deep tissue massage therapist does not 'rub' or 'knead' or 'pound on' ones muscles as we often see in movies!

(S)He finds those areas deep within the muscle tissues that are knotted and by applying steady pressure (yes, it sometimes hurts a wee bit) forces the knots to relax.
