All stressed out and no one to choke

Princess is on my last nerve.
She is testing the boundaries on all sides.

She has always been an A/B student but has been slacking lately.  I called today for a check on her grades (as I told her I would 3 wks ago) and as her teachers began to call me with the information I swear my head spun round and I thought I was gonna spew I am soooo angry with her.  The teachers each said about the same thing- she comes to class, but doesn't bring her books, or her homework, she seldom does classwork,, etc. etc. etc.  Her grades have dropped drastically.

Life as she knows it has changed.
I have taken her cell phone.
I've had her carry out her TV, DVD player, and ipod from her room.  I would remove the computer but she has accidently locked herself out of it so it is not functioning now.  There are no landline telephone privledges or TV priviledges AND she is grounded.  She was supposed to go to a weekend event next week and I've already gotten my $$ back.  She will go to bed EVERY NIGHT at 9:30 - no exceptions; staying up late on the weekends is a priviledge.  I will recheck grades again in 3 weeks and if things have not improved I'm not sure what I'll do - but I'll do something.  We've got to "fix" this before it gets broken any worse.  If she brings the grades up to A/B then she has earned her priviledges back.  GRRRRRRR!!

I never did this when I was a teen, but our oldest DD did the same thing when she was this age.  Scheesh!  The "crazies" must be goin' around and DD has a good case of it.  Did you do this when you were a teen?  Did your kids do this?

Just had to vent, as I was "about to blow"!
Don't you wish you could be in our house this evening??!
I need a Margarita...no can't have a Margarita; I'm on a diet, so I'm exceedingly grouchy.

I was shocked at that last conference, to find out how many homework assignments Danielle actually didn't hand in.

Ah, Deb. It sounds like the great teen years are arriving.
