Yup it is true....there is brown grass out my window.....we still have some big piles of snow but in the areas where it was thinner it has melted......it was 40º today. It got that high a couple weeks ago but I don't think the time was right for it to melt or something. Anyway the sun did come out for a while too....that was nice.

Our forcast looks good....cloudy but highs in the next week to about 52........YEA.....

What I see is a lot of driveway gravel in my flower beds, thanks to DH and his snowblowing. Grrr. Thankfully, this will be the last Spring I'll need to deal with it - we're having a concrete drive put in this year. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent with a broom getting those dang rocks out.

Oh yes - our daffodils are up 2". Now if the rabbit doesn't munch them, I'll have a big bunch by the front door.

We built a 2 car garage and shop in our back yard in 1999 and I wanted cememt drive...Del wanted blacktop...as of yet we have nothing...not even a garage door opener that we bought when we were building the garage.....it is still in the box.

But if I complain around here I hear what a helpful husband I have and one person told me I am just being to hard on him...Don't get me wrong when it comes to things he can do himself they get done right away but the things he needs help with he won't ever ask anyone. Or

Funny Janet I was just noticing the green grass coming up. We have had some very warm and sunny days, so the grass is the first to show signs.

There's a word for men who act like ours. DUNDERHEAD. Mine has a military background and prides himself on keeping "ducks in order". Of course, he does this selectively. If I leave my coffee mug too far forward on the counter, he moves it. But - he can leave his mail piled up on the kitchen table and never notices it. He always lectured DSs about "pay attention to details". Well, throwing those rocks into my flower beds is a detail he can ignore - GRRR. I once forced him to clean up the rocks by going on strike - no meals, no laundry. Unfortunately, his cleanup measures were with a rake and ripped out plants.

Our eldest DS lives in his house that is 1/2 remodeled and can't find time to work on it. But - let a buddy need help with a project he's off & running. Luckily, he did get the bedrooms done and our DIL is busy and very patient. Since DS will retire in 2 years, we're betting nothing will get done until then.

After all these years I should be used to it, but it never fails to irritate me. Just keep telling myself at least he DID keep the drive clear/mow the lawn/fix anything electronic....
