Drats, I think we killed Froggy

To clarify, Froggy is SO's truck. It had a radiator leak and was scheduled to go to the shop tomorrow for repairs. So we hopped in it this morning to go "to town" (~50 miles away) for calf feed, yard pavers and flower bed borders..... and forgot to check the water. So about halfway there Froggy issues a clatter and dies. We limped home, narrowly avoiding walking the last several miles, and SO has been working on him all afternoon. We *think* he may be saved by a new radiator and thermostat. We feared at first that the block was cracked, but it appears maybe not. So now it's either repair Froggy or buy the new truck that SO wasn't planning on buying until next year. We'll see what happens next, but in the meantime it looks like our planned trip to Texas to see the bluebonnets may be off. :( I was really looking forward to that trip..... sigh.....
The good news is my computer/internet problems seem to be solved now so maybe I can catch up and then post more in the near future!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, productive week to come!

Jill that is not a good feeling. I hope the new radiator and thermostat does the fix. What kind of truck is Froggy?
I hope you don't have to end up buying a new truck.
Sorry to read about the near-death experience of Froggy. Been there. I live in north central Texas and we don't have bluebonnets yet. There has been so much cold and snow that we are just beginning to see green and new tree leaves. Spring is arriving rather late this year. There may be some down in the hill country. I haven't looked. If Froggy revives you may not have missed this year's crop.
Hugs,
Melissa
