Good Afternoon Girls,
Looks like we won't be going to Tulsa this weekend after all - DD and oldest Granddoll are both sick with a virus. We'll reschedule and plan it again real soon. The girls are very disappointed as we had movie plans and such. I'm disappointed too but I always think things like this happen for a reason.
Princess becomes "ungrounded" after midnight - she's counting the hours. (so am I but I wouldn't tell her) It's been a slow Spring Break, given her situation. We've done a few things this week, but not many. I HAVE been giving her daily driving lessons and she's doing pretty good. I KNOW you all wish you were me and could be teaching another teenager to drive! LOL

Deb I know these things happen for a reason, but can't help but be so disappointed. I hope you get to see them soon.
Oh the joys of teaching a teen to drive. I got out of that job. Dh did that. Although my son drives like me and my dd had a really tough time, until I finally did give her a few lessons. But it wasn't like she was just beginning. I just had to tell her to forget whatever her Daddy told her..lol. She must have, because she did fine after that.
(((hugs)) SS
Be glad they were nice enough to warn you about the virus. I think I caught this bug from one of our wee ones - they've been sick a lot this winter.
Been a long time since I had a driver in training, but I remember it well. Youngest DS had completed training, had his permit and we were letting him drive us around a lot for practice. I took him to Arkansas to visit his DB over the Thanksgiving weekend and let him have plenty of highway driving. On the way down I was pins & needles. On the way back I told him to start the drive, and I'd switch half way. I promptly fell asleep, woke up to a blinding snow storm in the middle of IL where a lot highway traffic meets. DS was gripping the wheel with both hands. I told him we didn't dare pull off to the side and that I trusted his young reflexes better than mine. I functioned as navigator, even had to roll down the window to see where the side of the road was. Years later he said that was a truly sobering experience and he was probably the best driver in his group.

Deb, I'm sending you some magic dust for the driving training.

It's a bummer that you won't be able to to Tulsa.
Sorry your Tulsa trip has been postponed, Deb, but if you had two sick teenage girls to deal with you are probably far better off not going just now!
I'm sorry your plans got changed Deb. Hope your girls are feeling better soon. I know how disappointed you are.
So DD is back flying on the straight and narrow huh? I'm sure she's no worse for wear and maybe learned Mama is a force to be reckoned with!
Good luck with the driving lessons...don't envy you one bit.
Actually this delay in plans worked out for the BEST -
they are getting SNOW today!
