Hi everyone. Taking a bus trip across at least 1/3 of this country in four days was exhausting, but the adrenalin of 2 gorgeous days in NYC make it all worthwhile. The only things I will say about bus travel is that it will eventually get you where you are going, the cost is not outrageous and I have seen the hope of spring in blooms and budding trees everywhere I looked.
Now about the two gorgeous days, there was food and coffee from the deli on the corner where the staff remembered this Texas gal from December, the wonderful and helpful staff at the Edison Hotel who found a room for me when they reviewed my online reservation effort and discovered that it had not booked properly, a Metropolitan opera production of La Boheme that moved me beyond words to describe, a repeat performance of "Race" at the Barrymore theater and new pictures at the stage door. And that was just Saturday! On Sunday, I spent the morning in Central Park marveling that I was watching real life the way it always looks in the movies. (I think I might enjoy living in New York City.) I spent the afternoon sitting in the sun on Times Square reading the Dan Brown novel that's been sitting in my den for six months and people watching. One last trip to the stage door where I actually got "Jimmy" to smile for me, took some candid photos and bid the city goodbye again.
I got home with just enough time to shower and get to my dance class. I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. Today was back to work, but don't think I'm done dreaming...; - )
