I’m writing this in "word" and doing a copy/paste. The past couple of days when I come to the board my computer locks up, either while I’m trying to log in or just after I log in. Anyone else having problems or is it just me?
Moving on....
Some of you wanted to hear about the cruise I was on week before last. In a word, it was fantastic. We left out of Port Everglades on Friday, March 12th and were gone for 8 days. The first two days were spent "at sea," then we arrived in St. Maarten on Monday morning. Here’s a picture I took of the island from our balcony on the ship….the water is exactly the color shown in the photo….beautiful!

We left the ship that morning and boarded a catamaran and sailed for 3 hours. We got out of the cat. and snorkeled over a reef (no coral, but lots of colorful fish and many, MANY sea urchins visible on the bottom of the sea). The catamaran also docked at a "clothing optional" beach for a while......no, I didn't, so don't even go there!....lol! But DH and the other men on the cat. enjoyed the...uhhh.... sights!....lol. We stayed there for an hour or so, swimming and soaking up the sun.
The next morning, we awoke in St. Lucia, another beautiful island. That day we did a walking tour in the rain forest and sampled many of the local fruits and juices. Then we did a little shopping…..well, mostly "looking." I did buy a pretty necklace for my Mom and some banana ketchup (very tasty!) for my Dad. Here is a view from the van that drove us up the mountain to go on the tour. St. Lucia is in the midst of a severe drought right now, thus the brown foliage.

Next day…..Wednesday…..we arrived in St.Kitts.

We went to a big beach party that day (on Cockleshell Beach) , where I met Sara, a sweet little monkey. Even had my picture taken with her. lol…

That night there was a St.. Pat’s Day celebration onboard the ship, which was a blast. It was also DH’s birthday that day. The party room was all green – I even "got green" myself….lol.

Thursday and Friday were also days "at sea" and when we woke up on Saturday morning we were back in Ft. Lauderdale. I had fun but it is always good to get back to the USA.
Now, let me see if this will post!

BB,
It is wonderful to see you here.
Hi BB,
I have been to all of these islands and your photos brought back very pleasant memories. I know that you had a grand time. Cruises are awesome. Thanks for persevering to share with us. I hope your logon problems go away.
Hugs,
Melissa
What's not to love - Blue water, Green hair, and a Monkey named Sara!!?!
Like Melissa, I've been to all those islands too and your photos brought back many memories of wonderful times. Aren't those catamarans fun? I love zipping along in the water on them (with someone else at the helm)!! LOL I've just never seen water like the water in the Caribbean. It took my breath away...so blue.
I'm glad you had such a fun time...I love cruising! Thanks for sharing with us.
Sorry you're having such a hard time posting here.
BB you have been missed terribly! Sorry you had issues with the board. Seems like it attacks each of us randomly. Almost like they draw a name out of a hat.
BEAUTIFUL!!! Sounds like you had an amazing time - thank you for sharing. :)
Glad you're back!
Great pictures, BB!
