Toenail time

Temps finally warm enough that I got out the Summer shoes. Now I need to paint my tootsies. The brand (NAOT) of sandals I bought at Bugfest last year turned out to be the best fitting I've had. My 2nd toe is the longest and most "natural" footbeds don't fit. Not sold locally, but I've already bought 2 pairs on eBay & am bidding on more.

BTW - ever had a bruised toenail that doesn't come off. One of mine has been lilac colored for 6 weeks, no longer hurts. Guess I'll need to find a color to match for the rest of the toes.

Shari,
Were your sandals also a "find" that you couldn't get locally?

Our DS ran cross country and lost toenails. When you've bruised yours, how long until they look normal? I've read of a procedure that drills a hole in the nail to remove the excess blood in the bruise, but it was said to be very painful. I had the toenail on my big toe removed surgically some years ago and the pain ranked right up there with root canal - 24/7, so I don't want to mess with a nail unless absolutely necessary.

Done with yard work now, so can sit on the deck, absorb some rays and read for a while.

You had sun and warm weather today? Grrrrrr...

We had terrible storms and 50*!!! No 70*'s around here for the foreseeable future. Darn it all.

I think I'd just let that nail grow out naturally.

Our weather has been warm enough for summer shoes for a week or so now. I have continued with pedicures since my daughter took me for the first one before last Bugfest. Pretty toes make me feel so happy. Hope your nail problem resolves itself. I've heard too that drilling a hole is outrageously painful. Enjoy your comfy shoes.

I like them because they run narrow (I have no padding on bottom of feet) AND the toe shape accommodates my longer 2nd toes. I won 2 pairs, so think I'm set for several summers.
