Argh...one of those times!

It would seem that TPTB here at iVillage do not want me to post!  I can get to the boards - after a long wait, then open a post - after another long wait, but then cannot respond but about once out of every four tries!

I am temporarily giving up!!!

I have a new kitchen sink faucet...the old one had begun to leak and it was obviously factory designed to need replacement rather than repair! So I ended up buying one I'm not terribly fond of, but it is installed and it doesn't leak!  Considering what I paid for it (under $30.00) I can live with it for a while!

I saw Dr. J for a follow-up on my pneumonia Wednesday.  When I asked him if it was 'normal' for me to get so tired so easily after having had it he gently patted my knee and told me "you are not getting any younger" .... I told him he wasn't gonna get much older!!!!  His suggestion was to just take it easy and keep extending my scope of activity and I'd be fine.  He took some blood to run some allergy tests to see if I have maybe developed some new ones!  I complained about having a 'dry throat' cough and he decided to switch my B/P medication - thought the one he had me on might be causing it. So far it hasn't gone away!

Some of you have, in the past, recommended Zicam for helping to defeat a cold. Well, while I had what I thought was my cold I tried using a couple of Zicam products, without much success (since it was pneumonia!!).  But....I did discover the Zicam Seasonal Allergy Relief Nasal Gel. It is fantastic for my sinus congestion and runny nose. No re-bound effects from it. No worry about using steroids.  I have decided that if it keeps working well for me it will probably become a permanent staple in my medicine cabinet!

Hope all of you are enjoying the beginning of spring - if it is happening at your house!!  I think it may have arrived here.  We are due for temps up in the 70s next week again!

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

KT sorry about ivillage not letting you post. I was wondering where you were. Glad you are recovering from the pneumonia. Just slap that doctor. Just burns me up when they say that and imply it's your age....grrrrr.

Kt, the problem I am having right now is the board is jumping around so much I am about to get seasick. lol

I love your comeback for your doctor. It's funny I used to think anyone is their sixties was ancient. Now that I am here, it is hard for me to understand why I should get tired so quickly because I just don't feel that old. I hope you are soon completely over this pneumonia. I know you will be wanting to get out and work in your yard, etc.--Pat
