Last week the manager of the campground moved his camper in for the summer and we were planning on going up this weekend.

Then Friday at 1pm he had a doctor appointment so he locked the gate to the campground since he was the only one there. And came back at about the same time Saturday. Inbetween that time there was a breakin at the campground. Someone broke into about 9 campers, ours was not one .

There is a house that sits at the top of the hill west of our campground with a barbed wire fence in between. The people are a really nice couble that leave in the winter and are not back yet..But we think that the thugs parked in their drive and lifted mostly electonics over the fence.

When we think about it that really makes us sick is that they gained entrance after trying to go in from the top through vents or something got in through a window that they pried up that is about 9-10 inches high and about at the most 18 inches wide. So they had a very tiny woman or a child that they put through the window and then they unlocked the door.

More later got to find out what just happened here......lol BRB

Retired and lovin'it.

Ok, anyway the people that broke in took mostly electonics which they carefully took out no scratches on the the housing and they left the screws and they unplugged all the wiring they didn't just cut it. Funny thing is that the campers that were still closed up they knew where to look for the safes that most of the newer ones have... like someone is going to say "Why sure I leave valuable jewels and money in my camper safe over winter with no one around....how stupid.

One camper the lady had about 5 pair of old jeans that she used for mowing and washing the pickup and those were gone..

Our friends camper was broken into and nothing seems to have been taken even though they went through everything again she had a gold necklace that she hung on the light over the table she didn't mean to leave it but it was still there. And they had a little crock jar like I would use for bacon grease but more than likely it was for condements of some kind.....it has a lid on it and was sitting right on the counter as you come in the door that probably had close to $8 in change. None of that was missing....but the one camper had glass doors that close the living room part to the kitchen and they were closed so in order to try and get their big screen tv out they broke a stained glass half circle above these doors their camper was such a mess.

Anyway these criminals left the best foot prints, tire prints and fingerprint all over the place....the campers are white on top and have a kind of rubberized sealant on them and the foot prints were as clear as day up there.

The camp ground has been there for over 20 years and has never had anything liek this happen.

I mean most of us even if we took the camper home every year they would still sit out so there isn't much else we can do except maybe security cameras but I know the owner won't go for that she is very tight......lol

So that is where we went yesterday....

This afternoon I had gone into the bathroom when I heard this kind of explosion sorta like when we had the earth quake. The lights flickered and I could feel the house like it had been hit by a tractor or something......As soon as I could get up I went outside and it was very quiet in the back yard nothing moving that the wind wasn't blowing. Same with the front no cars no nothing.....so I called the city office to see if they felt that. The office is just about a half block from me on the same side of the street.

The clerk said yes she had and she thought her computer was fried........TG it wasn't but while I was posting the Public Power truck pulled up in the alley...

He asked me if I got a rude jolt? I said I had it was right at the pole behind our house they fixed it while it was hot....I can't watch that....but everything is good to go now. He also said that they have had enough trouble at this pole that it was on the agenda to be replaced and every connection would be new.....YEAH.... He also said that would eliminate and browning and flickering. YEAH again.

One time I had lights in one part of the house but not the other. I thought it was a tripped breaker but no part if the line at the pole had come apart and was touching once in a while which is worse than losing it. When he came and fixed it he said that the only way that would come lose again is if the pole came down....lol....but it is always in the wind.....and they are up there in the bucket with a ......OOOOO I don't like to think about it. Some years ago we had a friend of ours that worked for a Public Power was electocuted.....electricity scares me.
