Saw "Date Night" this evening....

and loved it. Mind you I love Steve Carell and Tina Fey and slapstick funny movies so they were all plusses going in. My bff and I laughed from start to finish...just what the Dr. ordered for both of us that had had stressful weeks. There were a couple scenes where we were laughing so hard we were choking. There is a car chase scene that had us rolling. We felt really good walking out of the theater.

That's good that you enjoyed it!
Hi Blu,
It's pouring rain here this weekend so I opted to see movies last night. I went to Clash of the Titans. It's a different story than the movie I have watched dozens of times, but I enjoyed it. The theater was running a 2D version and I had been told that it was not worth the cost to see in 3D. I also saw Alice in Wonderland. That was in 3D and I loved it. I'm one of those odd ducks who enjoys weird quirky stories, and Alice has always been a favorite of mine. Love Carroll's poetry. Probably why I love John Lennon's poetry as well. Nonsensical, but fun. Used to shock my mom when I read Lennon out loud because she thought it almost made sense LOLOL. I've seen part of the movie that Shari saw. Never quite caught up to what was going on coming in at the middle. Sounds like I need to add it to my Netflix queue. I didn't know the name of the movie (thanks Shari). Glad that you had such a good time. I love laughing until I can't breathe. Hoping to do more of that in September ;-)
Hugs,
Melissa
I've seen ads for the movie and told DH I thought it might be a good one to see.
I don't know much about the actors, other than Tina Fey did a spot-on Sarah Palin.
I know it's playing not too far from here so, hopefully, we'll get to see it. Not on American Idol nights, though. lol

We loved "Alice - 3D" too! So fun and quirky.
That's on my "To See" list.
