Just trying to catch up a bit with you all. Time seems to get away from me these days.
Ellen - I am so sorry to learn that your DFiL passed away while you were at sea. My heart breaks for you and my prayers are with you and your family. I am glad to read now though that you had a good time on your cruise!
Deb - OMG, I cannot imagine trying to home school a teenager! What has brought on this decision? Sorry if I should not be asking that!! You have my prayers as you begin this journey.
Shari - got enough mustard now?!! I am rather fond of most mustards, though I must admit that some of them are a bit to 'bitey' for me!!
Dannie - Your baby went to college orientation?! Sounds like she enjoyed herself. Are you *ready* for the change in status?!!
Jackie - congrats on the birth of of Cameron Jerome! Great Grand babies are extra special blessings!!!
Donna - Poor little Cora!! Didn't you walk Crazy Horse last year? Or am I mis-remembering?! I don't know how you have handled all of the traveling you do with your consulting! Gracious you travel enough just going back & forth to the nursing home! I hope you and your mom can reach an agreement on her housing that will be to her benefit. Sorry your DF didn't recognize you, sometimes I think that is harder on us than it it them though.
Karen - Those new babies tend to arrive on their own schedule! Hope your's just arrives safely and healthily!!
Jacquie - hmmmm, maybe a trip to Penny's is in order for me!!! That purse sounds interesting! I tend to store the ones I really like and dig them out later too!
Shirley - sorry your root canal caused you such pain. I've had a couple of them - one was terrible and the other went quite well! I really do not like going to a dentist for even a cleaning....I am such a coward about it! Hope you are feeling much better now.
My body is not recovering from that blasted pneumonia as I'd like it to! Last Monday I mowed my yard for the first time this season. I had to do it it four spurts! Mow a while, come in and rest, then go mow more, then rest, etc! It took me nearly all afternoon where it usually takes me about an hour and a half! I ended up with a hurting ankle from the twisting over the mole hills too! Grrrrr!!!!! So I bought myself a cheap pair of hightop tennis shoes to wear next time!
Victorian Day is May 1 this year. I will not be dressing up this year though....just don't have the energy to do it! And if Syl doesn't get busy real quick she won't have a dresss to wear!!!! LOL We'll probably be sewing right up till Saturday morning again! I look forward to not having to dress up for the day for a change. I'll be able to see a lot more of the stuff that is going on this way! Our chair person has decided that this is the last year that we'll do our parade as part of it - it is so very difficult to get participants ... with it being a non-motorized parade. People tend to not want to bring their horses out for a parade this early in the year. But the weather begins to look as if it will be great for the day, at least warmer this year than the past few. The flowering trees are going to be in full bloom this year so no problem finding posies for the kids to use in making May baskets! If the Parks & Recreation Department in the city won't give us a waiver on the park fees again next year it may be this may be the last year for the event! Time will tell on that one!

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

KT I am so sorry you are not quite recovering from the pneumonia. But at least you were able to get out and cut the grass, albeit slowly.
So sorry you're still not up to par Katie. It really does take a long time to recover from it.
I'm glad you're not working yourself to death sewing up a costume for VD this year and you'll be able to walk around and enjoy it for a change. Hope the weather cooperates!
Katie,
I think "slow and steady" is the name of the game when you're recovering from something so serious.
Katie, I know how exhausting pneumonia can be.
K
sorry you are still not feeling up to par. hopefully before long you will be back to normal.
it's best to take things slow and easy.
big hugs,
