Confession: Rootbeer Float

My confession -
I had a Rootbeer Float yesterday!
And boy was it GOOD!!
I usually crave one each summer, so I got mine really early this year.

I had a dr. appt. yesterday.
Had to have my blood drawn (which I didn't expect)
and the GREAt news was "I didn't faint".
(I don't anticipate any problems with my blood work results)
Princess was with me and provided a good distraction and we celebrated the fact that I was such a "brave girl" by indulging in the Rootbeer Float!  Princess and I are attached at the hip - it's like having a toddler again.
I had dinner with a GF on Saturday.
That was 2 hrs we've been separated in the last 10 days.
It's not really all that bad, but just an adjustment.

I'm off to meet a GF at the park to walk together in a bit.
Princess will take her ipod and listen to music in the shade
while I walk.  That will provide another bit of a break.

Beautiful day here.
Laundry and such after my walk.
What are you doing today?

OOOh, I should have never read your post. I'm doing the 14 hour fast before having labs done in the morning. I was doing fine with my carbonated water until I read your post.

Have your ever had the popsicle/ice cream bar that is root beer flavored? It is to die for, but I don't dare have any in the house. I must admit to my post massage splurge today - single dip cone of Baskin Robbins Nutty Coconut ice cream.

I'm going to try to stay up later so I'm not up at dawn dying for a cup of coffee. One lab tech told me plain tea was okay, but I don't want to chance it. What I WILL do is drive through McDs for an Egg McM & coffee on my way TO the lab. It's all within 1.5 from home, so no big deal. Next week is my annual poke & prod visit with my MD. I never quite got it straight what Medicare covers, but the MD office contacted me that I hadn't had an annual physical since 2008. I go in twice/year for labs & went to convenient care this year. That's as much of the office as I want to see - too many sick people there. But, this time I'm going to tell him about my sore shoulders & wrists.

Off for another wonderful glass of water. Gotta have plenty of pee for the cup...

Seems so funny but I can crave something and if it isn't the exact thing I hate it. Del would have a rootbeer float made with soft serve icecream and any rootbeer that happen to be in front of him....I have to have frozen icecream the hard kind and only A&W root beer....lol

I mean if I am going to do something bad it has to at least be something that I really really like....

Every year I crave Schwan's chocolate almond ice cream. Nothing is going to satisfy that craving. Most people say just have some chocolate icecream and put some almonds on it.....not the same.

I will go without before I eat something just because it is sorta the same.....lol

I am really picky......

Retired and lovin'it.
