Good morning, Ladybugs and Happy May Day!!!  Since April showers bring May flowers, let me ask you this---what is your favorite flower??  Oh, I would definetely have to say ROSES....love them--in any color.  But, sadly, I've never had any luck in growing them, mainly because the deer love them, too!!

So, what is happening to you this month?  Are you celebrating anything special?  Birthday? Anniversary?  Going to a  Graduation?  Wedding?

No birthdays or anniversaries here.  No graduations or weddings.  But I do have several bridal showers and the first one is today.

We have company coming toward the end of the month...so have to get ready for them.  The whole upstairs needs to be painted so am hoping that gets done before the Shariton opens for the summer.  LOL

I'm also hoping that the weather stays just the way it is....right now, it's b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!!!  Hope it's nice where you are, too!!!

Good morning Shari and Happy May Day! ahhhhh finally May and our temps are warming up to the 80s all of next week. April has been such a cold month so hoping May will be a hot one but can't complain really....

May brings a lot of birthdays, parties and graduations..so exciting for these kids graduating college and then off to the usual Europe trip in June. It seems a trend around her, kids graduate college, then they're off backpacking in Europe after they settle down and become full adults with job hunting, etc...

Today I am headed to downtown Los Angeles. I just hope I don't run into those thousands of protesters who are marching towards City Hall in protest of that AZ immigration law..Yikes!......

I better high tail and get ready as I'm being picked up soon...

Oh I'm allergic to flowers and can appreciate the beauty of them. Guess if I have to choose, orchids and roses will at the top of the list..so colorful and beautiful...

Well we are at the camper so we don't have to do anything we don't want to do.....lol

Well, except for a couple things. Del has a meeting a week from this monday that we will go home for. I will wash clothes and update my desktop..lol

We have to go to town today and buy Del some jeans. He only had a couple up here and I thought I brought several with us and it wasn't that many....And even if we still had all the shorts he never wore it is to darn cold to wear them. I need some long pants too...since it hasn't warm enough to wear my shorts. Only in the mid 60s predicted for the next week. What a spring.

Del has been fishing a little but hasn't brought anything home since the fish cleaning places are not open yet... he did give some some away while he was up there though.....I think he likes the BS while he is fishing and there is plenty of that going around there...LOL

The allergies are really nuts but maybe my body will get used to it .......NOT......

Have a nice day !.

Hi Shari. Favorite flower? That's difficult because I just love flowers. But, I think my favorite spring flower would be pansies. I love the pretty colors and the faces on them. I've got all colors on the deck. Too cold to plant anything else but pansies are hardy little buggers! We had some snow a few days ago and my pots were covered but they're still doing fine.

We bought a couple of bourbon barrel halves, today. I have to decide what goes in them. The entire car smelled like bourbon! I don't drink the stuff but it sure did smell nice.

May---daughter-in-law's birthday is May 7th. Then, of course, there's Mother's Day. Memorial Day. I just love this time of year. Everything's turning green and we've got a bunch of daffodils and tulips.

I'm listening to Mozart and should think about dinner.

Hi Shari,

One missing ladybug checking in. My goodness April flew by! It's hard to believe it's May. Favorite flower? I don't have one. I love flowers too much to choose. Right now Texas is a riot of color with wildflowers, my iris are in full bloom, and I have two bloom stalks opening on the orchid in my kitchen window.

No special events this month, but there is little league baseball in full swing with games and practices three times a week. DGS is playing very well. I'm scaling back the dance lessons this month. I took too many classes in April and just got myself terribly confused (and worn out too).

Hope you enjoyed the shower today.

Hugs,

Melissa

Here's another missing Bug checking in. I've not really been missing...just hiding. I'm here every day reading and have replied here and there...I just haven't started a thread of my own.

Happy May Day...hopefully this month our weather will stabilize. The wind has been blowing so hard here for so many days I'm sick of it and so is my aching head. My migraines has have been raging again for the past week.

My job is great...I love my hours and what I'm doing. This next week is going to be a little rough as we're down one employee and my partner is on vacation so I'm the support staff for the next week.

Today I went out to an early birthday lunch with 7 girlfriends to the little town just west of us where the movie "Groundhog Day" was filmed. After lunch we wandered the town square and stopped in a few of the cute stores. Thurs. is my bff's b'day and Sat. is mine. I'm having a bit of a hard time this year with Mother's Day...the first one without my Mom. This too shall pass.

The 14th brings my brother to town for the weekend to meet his new Grandson, Beau, for the first time and to catch up with some of his old h.s. friends. Can't wait to see him...it will be the first time since Mom's funeral last Sept.

A gf from CA gets in town on the 12th and will be here until the 27th...hope to be able to catch up with her.

All in all it's a busy month for this blueyed bug from Illinois.

May is a beautiful month and it is beautiful here today.
May also is a month of many occasions for our family.

May 10 - oldest son's B-day
May 14 - youngest Granddoll B-day
May 14 - My sister's B-day
Mother's Day
*We are going to Tulsa next weekend to celebrate all the above.
May 29th - our wedding anniversary

I love so many flowers but if I had to choose I'd
pick a bouquet of Red & Yellow tulips.
