Midnight rambler....

Okay, so it's not midnight yet, but it feels like it. I've had a long and busy day.
I have two things to ramble about.....
Remember the strawberry plants I planted last spring and was disappointed when I had NO strawberries? (Actually, I had ONE in the fall, but....) Well, I am now strawberry rich! You wouldn't believe how many strawberries I've picked, and there are plenty more to come. Funny....after the brutal winter we had (day after day with temps. that didn't get above freezing) I thought for sure they were goners. But I guess they liked the cold because now they're producing like crazy. The berries are small but oh so sweet!
Next ramble....
When I had the baby shower at my house a few weeks ago, I had a tablecloth on my dining room table, but it wasn't enough to protect the table from getting a couple of water/cold platter stains. I read somewhere that you could put mayonnaise on the white marks and leave it overnight and that would make the stains go away. I did that last night and it WORKED! I just gooped mayo all over the white spots and this morning, I wiped it off and the wood was like new. Amazing....
Well....that's all I have to ramble about for now, but I'll be back to ramble and catch up more later. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

Cool! I've got a water spot on the coffee table in the living room, I'm going to give the mayo a try! Certainly can't wreck it 'cause I hate that coffee table anyway! LOL
So glad you've now got strawberries....yummo! I have to check my rhubarb plant and see if it's near ready to pick...might be a little early yet. I'm going to give cooking it this year a whirl!...I've never done it before but Mom always did it. Can't be too hard.
I bought some strawberries at work this week and thought about yours. I have some wild ones growing under my back porch. Always heard the wild ones were deadly..lol. Not going to try them to find out.
I'll have to remember the mayo trick.
Fresh strawberries from your own patch!!!
Now, if Mayo would only work on scratches!
I think it must be a good year for strawberries.
Pam, I have the same problem with the mayo!
I should have used a plastic tablecloth under my cloth tablecloth too, SS.
