We were at DD's last night and I got to hold Grand #7, and #6, and #5, and #3 decided to sit next to me. The others I got hugs and smiles. We had dinner there and played a game afterwards.
Two special things happened yesterday. I received an email from a woman I met Fri. at a senior fest. She has invited me to apply to serve on the Board of Directors. This is for an adult day care home. There are two slots available. I'm heading there for a tour and to speak with her. She has a copy of my resume and I'll meet with the director later.
Then I met a woman at the place I wrote the commercial for. She gave me the name of a relative who is a chief of police in the town. She said to mention his name. I've always wanted to be a spokesperson for somebody or something that cannot do it for themselves. She said that her relative can point me in the right direction.
My arm is still twinging a bit now and then. Mostly it is OK. I missed dancing last night because of a blister on my foot. And, yes, instead of not just showing up, I called the teacher who again said that if people don't show up, she'll cancel. She mentioned something about putting out a flyer and I told her I'd email her one. She can use it or not. She calmed down a bit.
Have to get ready to leave. Have a wonderful day,
Hugs,
K

So....how did it go at the adult day care home, Karen?
