Whew!

Between my late start, the afternoon heat, and my overall tiredness it took me nearly all day to get my yard mowed yesterday!  I had putzed around in the house waiting for the dew to dry, so I didn't get started until just past noon. I was walking more slowly and thus mowing less each time between breaks so by the time I took my third break it had begun to get too hot out there for me to be mowing.  I came in and gave my poor fatigued body a long break...  waiting for the temps to begin to come back down a bit.  Then it took me two more attempts before I got it finished.  I guess I'll have to begin mowing earlier in the day next time.  Now that the huge willow tree is gone the yard does dry off quicker than it used to from the morning dew.

It reached 86º here yesterday. That, plus the endless sun made me run out of steam much sooner than usual. Plus, with my stamina still at a low my back began to ache much sooner each time too!!  Okay, I'll quit griping!

It is 82º here already today.  The sky is a bright clear blue, with only a few scattered puffy white clouds.  I need to run the weed whacker, but if it gets done today it will be after the temps fall considerably!  Fortunately it stays light out fairly late these days.

We have our final 'wrap up' VD meeting for the season on Wednesday. Our committee chairperson, Marilyn, has indicated that she thinks we should do without the parade next year, but she may change her mind by the time January rolls around again!! Anyway, Wednesday's meeting gives us the chance to talk over what we think went well, and what we need to do to make things go better next year.  If you'd like to read the newspaper (The Gazeeater) that we publish and distribute each year you can find it  at this PDF.   It is written each year by one of our committee members and will give you an idea of what all goes on that day.

Miss Molly is lying behind me on her table, in front of the open window, sound asleep!!!   I almost brought a kitten home for her a couple weeks ago.  (or did I already tell you about that?!)  Anyway, I talked myself out of it due to the expense it would entail.  But she was a cute little tortoise shell kitten with extra toes on both front feet.

I need to work in on tomorrow's TOPS meeting stuff so I'd better get to it!

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

You need to get on the good side of a young neighbor (or an older one) that would mow for you....lol

We had storms west of us last night and I couldn't go to sleep so about 10 I checked the weather and the temp was 80 half an hour later it was 79 and muggy. About midnight it was 82. That just isn't right....

Today we are in for another round of stroms.....SD had tornadoes yesterday. I want this season to be over....

I get so tired about 1pm. Sometimes all it takes is about 15 min. other times it might take a couple hours. I think it is old age....lol

Have a nice day !.
