Memorial Day Weekend plans??

Good morning, Ladybugs. Do any of you have special plans for the weekend? We will be sticking pretty close to home as the beach traffic will be terrible, as usual. Our development is having a pool/BBQ party Saturday evening. Everyone brings a "dish". It'll be fun. There are about 90 houses in our development and there are some people I see once a year at this party!
Sunday evening we are going out with friends to a favorite restaurant that is just opening tonight for the season. It's called TWO SEAS, because you can see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Bay on the other. Beautiful views...yes, it's built high on pilings...
So, that's about it from my neck of the woods...hope you enjoy your day and weekend!

We have the people that are here all the time and then there are the weekenders. So on a holiday we (if we don't have plans) just kind of watch the weekenders trying to get as much into a couple days as they can before they have to leave....and things quiet down again.......well not that it is noisy here there are no kids, fires or late party nights but you know what I mean....just a change in our regular routine. We could go and visit my Dad if we need to go somewhere he is only 20 miles away.
We are not much for running around anymore we let the younger people do that.
Retired and lovin'it.
We just bought a load of plants for our flower boxes. Petunias, impatiens, potato vines and lots of other stuff. We bought two whiskey barrels so they'll have pink and purple flowers.
There's a parade on Sunday and it's open studio weekend. All the artists/artisans in the area open their studios and we want to visit a few. Glass blowing, Hitchcock chairs, wrought iron works, stuff like that.
We used to live on Long Island where the traffic was nuts. It's so nice to live in a rural area, now.
Have a great weekend! Gail
We're down to the end of the drive project - it is poured. We can't drive on it for a week, so am putting off the mass cleaning of everything that is covered with rock dust. DGrS put in edging pavers around flower bed next to drive on Thursday. I will head out shortly to get 14+ bags of topsoil - we had to remove a lot of the bed dirt which was filled with road pack. Then I can replant the sedum edging. That will be my exciting event for the weekend. Holiday weekends aren't such a big deal to me since retiring - EVERY day is a holiday. Last thing I'd like to find is some funky outdoor metal art pieces to hang on tall wooden fence I can see from the kitchen windows. I'm going to stop at the local Farmer's Market on Sat to see what I can find - a lot of artisans sell there. We had to transplant the fantastic clematis to make way for the drive edge.
I intended to go to movie to see Letters from Juliette today, but forgot DIL was stopping by to pick up some mending and also that DGrS should show up to do more rock moving.
Weather is going to mid 80s for next several days. I fully intend to enjoy JUNE.

Dh and I have been doing a lot of motorcycle riding.
Not really sure what I'm doing this weekend...except on Sunday afternoon when my bff and I are going to see "Sex And The City 2." Can't wait to see it!
I still have lots of work to accomplish outside, plants to go into containers, weeds to pull, furniture to wash, etc. I get going in the morning and have to stop to get ready for work.
I'm battling a sore throat and am just hoping I don't come down with a summer cold or something worse. I've got a glob of white junk on my left tonsil so I have to keep an eye on that. I've got some Amoxicillin that I've started taking. Nothing tastes good and it's hard to swallow. Yuck.
Sounds like everyone has a nice weekend planned. Enjoy and stay safe!
Good Saturday Morning!
We don't have any big plans for the long week-end but definitely it's going to be busy. Younger ds is in town. He is one of the groomsmen for his friend's wedding this Monday and dh and I have a gazillion things to do, look and shopped for before
I had thought to go buy some posies to plant this weekend, but haven't made up my mind for sure about it yet!
i have three days off!!!!!
no real plans for us we are just going to enjoy the peace and quiet.
dh will bar-b-que on monday.
school is out and while i won't have to go to town everyday, i will have to go a couple of days a week. the rest of the time joshua will be here with me. not as stressful as when they were in school.
Absolutely NO PLANS here, and I love it!
