Typical Memorial Day here...

Thundering and pouring rain! Shouldn't complain because we've had an awesome week...in the high 80's and low 90's and we really can use the rain...just not on Memorial Day. I needed one more day outside to get the yard in shape. Oh well.

Maybe I'll get some reading in and a nap later. I never get to do that anymore.

No one likes rain on a holiday.

Thanks Deb...wasn't he a cutie? No wonder Mama Blu fell for him hook, line and sinker.

Still dark and gloomy outside...the temps dropped 10* in a matter of minutes.

Your rain is on it's way to us later in the day & Tues. My feet got a nice pedicure while sitting in the shade, but as the sun got near it was brutal - I had sweat running down my neck. The toenail that was bruised early in the year has gotten very thick & I think I need to start using a file on it. When I had toe nail surgery a few years back, the MD told me to spray my nail bed with peroxide after every shower to keep fungus at bay, and it has really worked.

I boiled new red potatoes to make a salad later, will use fresh chives & parsley from the garden. Other than that, no big meals planned.

I was so sure that it would rain here, but the sun is out ...it's about 90 degrees but doesn't feel it.

Beautiful day in Vermont. Our town observed Memorial Day, yesterday, with a parade and speeches on the green. It's always nice and really small-town which we love.

I just dead-headed all my pansies and watered all the flowers. I love having flowers all over but they do take some work.

I took today off and rested...was just a total slug. Am starting to feel a little better...throat still sore but not quite as bad. A nap helped. It was nice having the 3 day off and a 4 day week ahead. Have a fun party coming up next Sat. night.

Blu, I hope you did read and get in a nap. That is good for everyone once in a while. Yard work and such projects will still be there.--Pat

Here too, Blu. It started early, with lots of thunder and lightning around noon, and the rain continued off n' on all day! But our little get-together out to Syl's sister's (H) place went well anyway!
