("dessert", not "desert".
My bad.)
I've had my Hummingbird Feeder hanging for well over a month now. We've only seen Hummers twice, however, there is an almost constant "who's who" variety of birds enjoying the feeder. Don't know if it's the water they are enjoying or simply the "sweetness" of their new found Dessert Bar?

Well Deb you're getting more out of yours than I am. I have seen one lone hummingbird about a week after I put up the feeder. But I have not seen anymore since then. I have had one or two wrens flying around the porch, but they are not feeding off my dessert bar..sigh. I guess mine IS a desert bar. They seemed to have deserted it.
(((hugs))SS
I'm anxiously waiting for the red Mandevilla vine to grow up the trellis by the fence. Prior to this year, I would plant one nearer the house and the hummingbirds would stop by to check out the trumpet shaped blossoms. Just hope my eyesight is good enough to catch a glimpse across the driveway.

Interesting.... we haven't seen hummingbirds at our feeders this year either. I was blaming it on Katie's presence - but maybe they're just scarce all over this year....?
Even though I miss seeing the hummingbirds, if it is Katie that's keeping them away I still won't complain because she's apparently doing a great job of keeping the deer, crows, and other garden-eating critters away!
