Remembering. . .

Today is my Dad's birthday.
He would be 89.
He's been gone for three years and though I still
feel the saddness at times, most of the time I
think of him with great joy.  Today I'm celebrating
how fortunate I am to have had him for so many
years.

"I love you, Dad.
Happy Birthday!"

I am so glad that now your memories bring you more joy than sadness, Deb.

I couldn't get here yesterday Deb...no power at home.

When I look at photos of my Dad I remember all the great memories too...as it should be. Today I stopped at the cemetery for Father's Day and as I was kneeling down and saying a prayer something bit my little toe...HARD! I let out a yelp, looked up to the sky and said, "that wasn't nice Dad!" I could almost hear him chuckling. LOL

I know your chugging your way up here so you probably won't see this. See you tomorrow.
