And it was less than a week ago that I was saying "hot & sticky"!!
It is only 68º here right now and raining with T-storms predicted for later in the day. I need to go to the grocery store so I may be out there dodging raindrops!
For Mother's Day Syl and her DH and DS gave me a card (from the cat!!) and a gift card to spend at Meijer. So I bought a new flag to replace the one that I have flying now that has faded terribly and is beginning to look a bit the worse for wear. I want to have it up for the Fourth of July. I'll need to make some adjustment to the positioning of the fasteners on the flag rope as this flag is about a foot wider than the old one. It is a bigger flag, but made of nylon and thus a bit lighter in weight than the one that is coming down. I bought a large (2.5") knitter's safety pin to attach the center of the flag to the rope so there will be less stress on the grommets and rope when the wind gets a bit stiff!! I'll have to take the pliers out and close up the opening on the pin or it will just come undone though!!
The moles are wreaking havoc with my yard again this year. It looks as if I'll have to invest in some traps. There is a yellow tiger cat here in my neighborhood that I had been hoping would hunt them down - but Miss Molly has a hissy-fit out the window at him every time she sees him in the yard and he quits hunting! I keep telling her that he's a 'nice kitty' and we want him to visit us, but she refuses to believe me!!! Ah kids!!!!
Guess I'd better finish getting dressed and get my errand running under way.....

You are loved ~~ far more than you may ever know!

Katie, have you tried putting moth balls down the holes?
K
Wow! It's only in the high 60's there? What's up with that? It's 89* here, very windy and "they" are saying we might have more severe storms blow through later this afternoon. As if we haven't had enough rain! My wonderful next door neighbor (the daddy) mowed my very long lawn this morning after our first morning storm today. Their son, who normally mows the lawn, hurt his leg playing baseball. I love my neighbors. Looks like the rest of the week is going to be nice tho.
I have a 4-day weekend coming up next weekend. I need to get ready and go grocery shopping too. I hate it. I've done 4 loads of laundry already...I think I've earned a nap! LOL
Unfortunately, Karen, there is absolutely NOTHING a person can put into a moles hole that will get rid of them - except a trap!
Well, Blu, the T-storm moved by me around 3:30 and the temp climbed up to 81
Feels like a swamp out there doesn't it?
We hit 100 today, Katie.
Sunny and hot here, but as long as the a/c keeps running I'm happy.
Kt I see mole stuff at Lowes.
We bought a new flag this year also.
