Yesterday was supposed to be rainy but instead it was just cloudy and almost cool enough for a jacket.......almost..nice sleeping but a littel humid...that feeling that the sheets have been lightly sprayed with water.....no not with anything else....lol

FEMA came to check out our river situation Tuesday. So we had to run home. They said that the North fork of the Elkhorn was right at the natural dike and if we get a flood situation again soon and that is breached the water will run toward the South Fork.....The north fork is about 5 blocks north of my house and the south fork is about 3 south of me. We hope that they put us on the disaster list for funds to move the river back to where is is supposed to be or whatever they do....

Funny thing. about 2 years ago I said some thing to Del like.......I wonder if the powers that be are watching the Elkhorn it has changed coarse so much in the the last couple years and if we get much water in it we are going to be in trouble....The spots I mentioned actually did flood..over the roads......all he said is he called me a "Smart *** . Hey what can I say....at least he didn't say that I am smarter than I look.....lol.....

So I got my laundry all done Tuesday but we have to go home again on Monday. Well it gave me a chance to update my desktop. I have opted for the little bit faster internet up here on the laptop so when I go home my deskto that is more powerful and whatever the internet on that is horribly slow to me.....to someone on dial up it would still be fast but now I am trying to figure out how I can justify the faster speed at home... the only way would be to drop the phone but I have had that number since 1971 and I don't want to lose it now. We use the cell phones up here for almost 6 months...I put a year on each of them and one still has over 1000 minutes the other has over 500 and soon I am going to have to buy more maybe it would be better for us just to have just the cell phones.....I figured that for the 2 phones for a year cost less than half what the home phone costs and since we get 200 free minutes at home all that we pay there is for having the phone. We would save over $300 a year.....then I would be able to have faster internet there. But then for 6 months?? All these hard things to figure out when you are retired.....lol

Janet, I used just my cell phone, as many people now do.

Sounds like you need to do a little "dryin' up".
