Hi all, hope you're all having a great Saturday morning! :)

Just some chit-chat and this & that......  SO has Army this weekend so I'm home alone during the days. Then Monday we go back to work after a week off. NOT looking forward to it, especially that 4am alarm clock!

This tick fever stuff seems to give me good days and bad days - or more like good hours and bad hours. This morning is not so good so I'm being very lazy, laying on the couch watching Food Network. Had another blood test yesterday so next week we should know more about where this thing is going (hopefully AWAY).

SO has made great progress on the fireplace, bricking is nearly done, and this evening we plan to install the surround tiles. Then hopefullly next weekend start on the floor tiles - yay! We're still figuring out our respective 'roles' - I'm used to helping out in remodeling projects, he's not used to having any help lol - so I'm feeling kind of 'useless' in this endeavor but at the same time it's nice not to have to force myself when the energy is not there.

Had TKD rank testing this week. The instructor had 3 of us doing our forms at once, in too small a space, and we all ended up at the same spot at the same time and had to start all over. Hard on the concetration! But it went ok the second time so hopefully next week I will receive my purple belt. There are 2 tournaments I'd like to compete in next month. One's near Dallas (at Southfork Ranch, actually) and most of my family lives in/near Dallas so it would be really nice to go and see them And go to the tournament. Unfortunately SO will have Army that weekend so he won't get to go :(  Then there's one near Memphis at the end of the month, just happens to be my birthday weekend.

Oh, Shirley Sue, I got to drive the Harley yesterday! SO was sitting behind me coaching but I had control and was piloting on my own for several miles. LOVED IT and couldn't stop grinning the whole time lol. My learner's permit expires in Sept and I need lots more practice so I can take the test before then. :)

One thing we had planned but did not get done this week was to trim, bathe and dip Katie-dog. I was going to try to trim her this morning but (a) this is a very 'tired' morning and (b) it's raining now. So instead, I'm going to put a stew in the crockpot for dinner, and I have a massage appt this afternoon. Other than that....  think I'll nap. :)

Happy Saturday!

I can hear your frustration.
How hard it is to have the "want to", but not the energy to do what you want.

Hi Deb - yes, frustration definitely describes my mood these days. And now apparently I've added throwing up to my list of ailments. Sigh. Wondering how in the world I'm going to make 10 hours at work tomorrow..... thank you very much for your good thoughts and wishes.

I am very fortunate that SO is willing and able to tackle the home projects - because the list is long! lol

Hey BB - thanks for the congrats, I'm really enjoying TKD. My DS took it when he was 12-13, made it all the way to black belt but then went back to his first love,
