Shannon,

Welcome to the board. You can chart for free at Fertility Friend. You can check out my chart here:

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Chrissy

A great book that explains charting is Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I just started reading it and it is very good. You can pick up a basal body temp at many stores.You should take your temp first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me!

BD= baby dancing aka intercourse

Good luck,

Chrissy

Hi, Shannon, welcome to the board! Here is a link to our TTC Board website: http://pages.ivillage.com/tratcliff/tryingtoconceive/

This will help you somewhat in getting started. BD means baby dancing(sex) and many of us use Fertility Friend to chart- www.fertilityfriend.com It's free and easy to use. The purpose of charting your temps is it shows a rise in basal body temp after "o"(ovulation) due to an increase of progesterone. This will enable you to determine when is a normal time for you to "o", and IF you are "o"ing. It will then tell you how long your luteal phase (lp) is- the time from "o" to AF (aunt flo) and when precisely AF is due.

I hope this helps! May your stay with us be a short and sweet one!
